Congratulations on your decision to purchase carbon credits. We at Coolpass want to make sure that your decision is based upon facts and not fiction. Coolpass has received numerous calls from previous customers pertaining to promises made by sales agents and about projects that Coolpass is not involved in. We would like to share some thoughts you should consider before getting involved in the carbon market.
Who is the company from whom you are buying?
Always buy from a reputable carbon offset company that is is a member of reputable registries. You should be able to view the membership list on the registries. Coolpass only buys U.S based projects that are listed on the American Carbon Registry or the VCS.
Where are you sending your money?
Coolpass only has bank accounts in the U.S. The Beneficiary Account is always CoolPass, Inc. You should always be sending funds to CoolPass, Inc. and NEVER a third party.
Cautions
Buying carbon offsets should always be done to retire and reduce your carbon footprint. If you choose to not retire your carbon offsets and instead hold and speculate that the price will increase, you should be cautioned about anyone guaranteeing specific returns within a short time frame. The appreciation of carbon offsets is not guaranteed and speculation involves a high degree of risk. There is currently a thinly traded unregulated market for carbon offsets. Be wary of promises made by aggressive sales persons
If you have been promised a short term profit or told you must buy more to achieve a profit or participate in some other type of transaction, please do not make this purchase.
